YL's Touch became publicly
known on May 20, 2006 at the Dayton Hamvention in Ohio. It is there that
a 20 year old YL made her way around Hara Arena passing out samples and
business cards.
Her name is Heather
Heininger and her call is KB9ZLB. She is a simple Indiana Ham, loving
the hobby, and her art. She has created her father's [N9OI] QSL card,
Steve Wendt's [KB9RDS] QSL card, Joseph Black's [KC9HDH] QSL Card, and a
few other's including her own.
"The
reason I started this business was to make QSL cards easier, and
cheaper, for those that use them. Price is always an issue, and instead
of spending a lot of money on a stack of QSL cards that you may not ever
use, the PDF allows you to print your QSL cards when you need them and
in the quantity you need them in. Another plus about YL's Touch is this:
you get three different backs. So if you only work one individual once,
then you only need the one contact back. But if you are working a
contest and work the individual on multiple bands, then the
multi-contact back can be used. And you have them all in your hand on
the CD. How much easier and convenient could it be?"
